Piece of Shit Cry Baby
America. A truly culturally and ideologically heterogeneous country. We have our political differences, sure. These differences sometimes give rise to shrill, unfocused passion, but come on, nothing wrong with that. ("Build the dang fence.") But one thing I have always liked about the citizenry is that it does not abide cry babies. So, what the fuck is up with us now? How do we abide the spectacle above? Nancy Pelosi needs to take the Speaker's gavel and beat the living shit out of that fucking tear-filled turd sandwich standing behind her. Not because he is wrong about everything ever, but because leading the posturing, blustering tough-guy party means you can't be a piece of shit cry baby. I am pretty sure that's in the Constitution, near the part that says black people are fractional human beings.

Rolling Wid Da Homeez (Clueless Reference, a film from 1995)
Haha. I am the best at doing occasional non-posts. But what can I say -- this picture makes me so happy, I have to share it with the world and cover it in gold dust and post it on my ceiling and look at it every night before I go to bed. Not like ironically happy -- I mean kittens napping with babies on a bed of world peace, for-realsies happy.
ps -- E, wtf do we have a Brittany Murphy tag? Oh, yes, because we're awesome. Sorry, forgot for a second.

links i like
as written earlier, i have given up any hope. i'm not doing it to be a partypooper or to be contrarian or to jump on a bandwagon. i am just not feeling it anymore. "it" has been replaced with an overwhelming sense of doom.so here are some funny/informative links. yay.
1) everyone luvs the guv! i really hope he ascends to a bigger platform than even new york bc he really is the straight talk express.
2) i don't find anderson cooper all that attractive, but i dare you to not laugh at this video.
3) here's some more fodder for those of us who think sarah palin is a fucking idiot who makes me ashamed to be a woman. and/or a hockey fan.
4) you should read this. painkiller addiction? check. daddy issues? check. crazy? check.
oh yeah, the greatest news of all: 30 rock is returning on october 30. i'll just put the season premiere on loop to get me through election day.

day late and a dollar short
instead of buying a mattress or some sheets to celebrate the american military's formidable sacrifice, i hung out with commenter collin, who was visiting from ventura country. for whatever reason, we began listening to "feelin' on yo booty," one of r. kelly's greats (and let's face it: aren't they all). then collin reminded me of dave chappelle's "piss on you" and the "piss on you remix."
i was very late to the chappelle bandwagon. after every frat boy and middle american had laughed themselves silly to "the race draft," "i know black people" and countless other greats, i caught wind of his show. in fact, my first exposure to the chappelle show occurred when i was studying outside at some AA rooftop cafe with c4ts and this girl sitting by herself kept yelling to the street below, "whut??" then inevitably some drunken fool would holler back, "okay!" then c4ts had to explain, at length, the significance of this call-and-response.
anyway, this post isn't some lengthy discourse on the comedy/impact/psychological underpinnings of the chappelle show. that shit is seriously funny. and stands the test of time.
